Al Hamra golf club mainclubhouse

The main clubhouse at Al Hamra Golf Club opened it’s doors this week to huge accolade from the visiting parties. The new facility compliments the Academy Clubhouse and Swing Studios that have been home to members and visitors activities alike for the past year.

Facilities

Picture 1 is the lobby reception / check in area - an area where golfers have the opportunity to conduct all golf transactions in one place - the island counter area allows golfers to check in as well as purchase pro shop product at the same time - the area is also big enough to allow ‘on mass check in’ for shot gun starts.

Picture 2 is the lobby area with the club’s trophy cabinets, winners name boards and club notice boards. This is an area that even if your hanging around and waiting for playing partners there’s still something to look at or read.

The golf club operates with three restaurants, Dunes Cafe at the Academy and now Lagoons Sports Bar and Zahara’s

Restaurants

Al Hamra Golf Club boasts an array of dining opportunities from quick snacks, elaborate dining or private banquets and functions.

With three dedicated food and beverage outlets visitors and golfers are sure to find the perfect dining experience.

Dunes Café (picture 3) located in the Driving Range Clubhouse is a calm and relaxed dining experience offering an optional light and healthy menu as well as an array of international dishes.

Dunes also offers a fine selection of pastries and ice creams for ‘eat in’ or ‘takeaway’.

Relaxed sofa seating, casual dining tables or shaded seating on the terrace can be the perfect environment for any occasion.

Golf Course Pavilions both the championship course and the academy course offer refreshment options during play. Whether it’s a hot or cold beverage or a quick takeaway snack – this efficient service area allows you a takeaway to be eaten between shots.

Lagoons Sports Bar (pictures 4 & 5) is considered the perfect meeting place either before or after golf or just for a casual meal. This all- day dining outlet features a menu of local and International dishes as well as the Chef’s Specials.

In addition the bar features three plasma screen televisions showing the latest in live sports action.

The Sports Bar Terrace offers spectacular views of the 18th hole and the Arabian Gulf Lagoon and is the perfect venue to discuss the day’s golfing tales.

Two features of this restaurant are the large windows overlooking the terrace and view of the closing hole - a great place to monitor the finishing golfers and our ‘photo wall.’ Lagoons has over 80 framed images that allow you to just stand and study some funny and dramatic golfing images.

Zahara's (pictures 6 & 7) - the main restaurant offers an International menu but with Asian / fusion elements. This modern luxury outlet features a large show kitchen, which is used both as a live cooking station as well as an easy buffet service area for special events.

Diners have the choice of indoor dining in a classy modern restaurant or outdoor dining on the large terrace as there are 25 panels of frameless glass - which rotate through 90 degrees and then fold away allowing the restaurant to become an indoor/outdoor dining area instantly. The outdoor terrace borders the Arabian Gulf Lagoon and the 18th Hole.

White leather furniture with the contrasting dark wood complimented by mirrors and polished chrome makes the restaurant modern, clean and fresh which will be complimented by the menu. The large wine rack and frosted show kitchen are all features that add entertainment to the room.

Other Facilities

We have serviced gents and ladies showers with ‘rainbow shower heads’ and molten brown products again the dark wood and beige theme has been extended into the lockers. An LCD screen in each locker room allows golfers to catch up on news and sports before and after the play. A private games room comprising of a full size snooker table, pool table and darts alley is located in the basement - this room will have a direct intercom to Lagoons allowing orders to be delivered

The large sun deck is fun and gives another dimension to the recreational membership - with the golf club bordering the salt water lagoon we put in a wooden deck with a floating pontoon and direct access to a roped off swimming area. Twenty sun loungers and umbrellas allow users to relax with an often slightly cooler sea breeze.
